ARKET is a new brand within the H&M group and will be a modern-day market, offering products for men, women, children and the home. Stores will also include a café in most locations. The name means “sheet of paper” in Swedish and both refers to our origin in the Nordic tradition of functional, long-lasting design and symbolises the blank sheet of creative possibilities. A desire for quality in every aspect is the foundation of what we do – and the main tool we use to help achieve our mission of creating a brand based on the essence of beauty, simplicity and sustainability.
We are looking for a Department Manager who wants to be a part of driving the success for a new brand.
We are convinced that a high level of customer service combined with our wish to provide a true brand experience will grow brand sales and profitability. The Department Manager will work closely together with the Store Experience Manager to make sure the customer service levels are high and secure the brand experience on department level.
As Department Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing your department in the store and improve daily operations as well as achieving sales targets and budget. You report to the Store Experience Manager. Some responsibilities include:
•Support, motivate and lead your department team to increase the department sales
•Create an inspiring and visually attractive department for the customers together with Visual Merchandiser
•Always act as Sales Advisor and be a role model for customer service
We are looking for
The role requires ability to overview, plan and organise both your own work and the team’s to achieve set goals for the department. You take responsibility for developing your team and constantly improving your department, always focusing on the customer and results.
As a person, you are communicative and have a flexible attitude. You’re team oriented and convinced that customer service and sales are more or less the same thing. You are caring and genuinely want the best for your team. You have experience from managing a team and working with customer service.
