Job purpose; To be flexible and adaptable to work across multiple departments, delivering high levels of customer service, stock management and cash handling; ensuring total focus on driving excellent customer service, both on the shop floor and back of house through pace and adaptability.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Take an active role in supporting the store both on the shop floor and within our stock processing areas to deliver high levels of customer service, merchandising and replenishment when necessary.
Maintain accurate and robust, stock receipt and despatch procedures and systems. Comply consistently with all procedures relating to the movement of stock and handling stock both external and internal to the store, including ticketing and tagging.
Provide a comprehensive cash handling service to include issue of till floats and reconciliation of cash and vouchers.
Open and lock store when needed.
Ensure internal controls and time frames are adhered to in line with policies and procedures.
Maintain an accurate and confidential service safeguarding both personal and electronic file information.
Work effectively with all colleagues
Effectively utilises POS systems and processes.
100% compliant in Health and Safety policies, procedures and legislation.
Maintain high standards of personal presentation including wearing a name badge.
Skills, know-how and experience:
Relevant customer facing and stock handling experience.
Proven track record of working at pace to deliver results against target and deadlines
Demonstrates attention to detail when dealing with large quantities of information to ensure accuracy
To be able to communicate clearly to customers and colleagues
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to be adaptable and flexible to work across multiple departments when necessary
